REMUERA ROAD BOARD.
TSS monthly meeting of the Remuera Road Board was held on Friday night, there being present: The Hon. E. Mitchelson (chairman), and Messrs. W. J. Parker, C. Ranson, and F. B. Winstone. An apology was received from Mr. Whitney for his absence. A resolution was passed as a special order, declaring the plants named in the original second schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1900, a« noxious weeds within the Board's jurisdiction. The trust deed of the Auckland Electric Tramways Company was. signed, and the seal of the Board affixed thereto. The plans and specifications of the proposed road through Church property, Maiiukau Road, were approved of, subject to certain alterations with regard to the depth of scoria and width of the footpaths being made. The foreman was instructed to meet the foreman of the Epsom Road Board With regard to the surface water at the junction of the Great South Road and the Maiiukau Road. An application was received from Mr. James Mason for pipes to be mid to supply his property with water; and it was resolved to lay an inch pipe for this purpose. It was decided to write to the Newmarket Borough Council and ask if they would and on what terms, allow their Fire Brigade to attend fires in Remuera. Sundry road questions were referred to the foreman to attend to. A deputation wailed on the Board in connection with the question of Market Road drainage, and after a lengthy discussion it was decided to communicate with the Bil•worth Trustees with regard to the future tenants of the allotments in that vicinity contributing towards the cost of a septic tank. Accounts amounting to £136 7s 2d were passed for payment out of the general account, and £3C 7s Id out of the waterworks account.
