Adelaide, May 13. Six h"CnDeed officers and men of the Japanese Squadron paraded the streets, and were warmly cheered by the crowds. In the evening the Mayor entertained the officers at a banquet. "Admiral Kaminura, in the course of a speech, said that England and Japan must advance hand in band, sin-, corely and rapidly." If, , unfortunately, there should be a conflict such as was threatened thev- must work together, advance bravely and Strike. He hoped the alliance would' last ten thousand years.
Messrs Henderson, and Macfariane, of this city are'in receipt of advices from Messrs. Burns, Philp, and Co., oi Sydney, stating that thev have been advised by the Japanese Consul-Geneial that the proposed visit of the Japanese warships to Auckland will not take place owiii'j; to the great delay occasioned by the damage sustained by tho vessels in the recent gale oh the West Australian coast. , ..-
