WAIHI EXTENDED G.M. CO, The south-east crosscut in the Waihi Extended Gold Mining Company's mine is now in 252 ft from the shaft in hard dark andesite. In the north-west crosscut a mixture of promising-looking quartz and calcite leaders from 3in to 6in wide, with layers of country between them for a ■width of sft, has been passed through, This crosscut is in 649 ft. BUNKER'S HILL G.M. CO. fBT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Tuesday. The Bunker's Hill mine is looking well, and the 'present indications are that satisfactory results will continue. In No. 8 stope the reef is Ift wide at present, and looking well. The drive at No. 1 level is being advanced to meet the No. 8 stope, and as soon as a connection is effected attention will be directed to the block of ground intact overhead. This block is of considerable extent, as there is about 200 ft of backs between the level and the cellar of the shaft. After certain preliminary works have been accomplished attention will be directed to the block between the intermediate and No. 2 levels, and as good results were obtained along the intermediate drive it is reasonable to expect that the block which is to.fbe operated on will produce a considerable quantity of crushing dirt. It is also intended to continue No. 8 stope. In future operations will be conducted tinder more favourable conditions, one of the disabilities having been removed, a means having been provided of getting the ore from between No. 2 and the intermediate levels.
