[by TELEGRAPH. association.] Ckbistchurch, Tuesday. 1 A MEETING of creditors of De Silva, travelling jeweller, was to have been held yesterday, but no quorum was present. The bankrupt stated that he had been robbed of his stock of diamond jewellery on board the steamer Waikare, and that the matter had been placed in the hands of the police, but there was no trace of the thief. He had filed at the request of creditors, who had paid the filing fee, an offer of 2s 6d in the £ being made by his brother. The jewellery in his bag which was lost was worth £1072 wholesale value.
