TWO FATAL ACCIDENTS AT TARANAKI.
[by telegraph.— ASSOCIATION'. ■'>X New Plymouth, Monday. &MAN named P. George met with, a fatal I accident while riding to his work on a bicycle this morning. About two miles , ', from town his companion, who was in front, I heard a thud, and on turning saw George on v the ground. A doctor was summoned and ; tie man removed by the ambulance brigade ;.- to tie hospital suffering from fracture of the base of the skull. He did not regain 1 coiiipusness, and died at three o'clock Ibis "; afternoon. Deceased was a traction engiae- ' driver, and had only one arm, having lost the other in a shooting accident some years ago. He leaves a widow and young family. Another death occurred at the hospital early this morning, being that of a man j lamed Newall, admitted last week suffering ■from the results of a fall of earth in a gravel ' pit, near Eltham. , . ffl ~
