WEDDINGS.

A wedding in which much interest was evinced among the numerous friends of the bride and bridegroom, was celebrated at Onelnmga on Wednesday last, wihen Mr. Frank Whyte, fifth son' of Mr. Alexander Whyte, '■ M.A., of " Snnnie Brae,'' Onehunga, was married to Miss Florence (Queenie) Richardson, eldest daughtar of Captain R. Richardson, of "The Grove," Onehunga. The service, which was choral, was conducted by Canon: Haselden in St. Peter's Anglican Church. The building was prettilv decorated, a handsome floial wedding bell being suspended over the chancel. The bride was attired in a pretty dress of white silk, with wreath and veil and orange blossoms. ; She was given away by her father, and was attended in the capacity of bridesmaids, by Misses Gladys Richardson, Isabel Robb, Madge Whyte, and Mary Cole. Mr. Norman A. Whyte acted as best man. The happy couple left the Church to the strains of the -"Wedding March," pla-yeu bv Miss Browne. About 70 guests attended the wedding breakfast at the residence of Captain Richardson, after which Mr. and Mrs. Whyte left on their honeymoon trip to Rotorua. The wedding presents were numerous, handsome, and useful. A very pretty wedding was consummated at Waitekauri on Wednesday, when the Rev. William Rramwell Scott,, eldest son of Mr. J. Scott, of Ponsonby, was married to Miss Alice May Noakes, third daughter of the late Mr. John Darby Noakes, of Gundaroo, New South Wales, , The marriage was celebrated in Victoria Church, by the Rev. C. Abemethy, assisted by the Rev. C. Harrison. The church, which was beautifully decorated, was crowded by the many friends of the popular couple. The service was fully choral, Mrs. Syme, of Karan'gahake, presiding at the organ. The bridegroom was supported by the R.ey. J. Belton and Mr. O. G. Noakes. The bride was attended by Misses A. G-. Noakes and V. Farmer, of Coronmadel,. and was given away by her brother, Mr. *J. Noakes. The. wedding dress was of cream silk with lace trimmings to match, with orthodox veil and orange blossoms. During the afternoon a. reception was held; at the residence of the bride's mother, when afternoon tea was dispensed to about 80 guests. ~.'!.'' t ;'. ; Mr. C. A. Richardson, resident secretary of the Mutual Life Association of Australasia for New Zealand, was married at Nelson on Wednesday last .to Miss Edith Edwards, daughter of Mr. Henry Edwards, of Fernhill. ' Mr. A. T. Bate, of Wellington, was - best : man, ';. and the *: groomsmen were Messrs. F. Milker, and D. Edwards, of Nelson. The bride was attended by her sisters (the Misses A. and F. Edwards) - and her niece (Miss E. ; Palmer, of Sydney)
