THE STEWARDESS OF THE ELINGAMTTE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, was surprised to learn recently from a reliance source that no assistance has been given to the aged mother of the late Miss McGuirk, the heroio stewardess of the Elingamite, from any of the funus raised in New Zealand and Australia for the relief of sufferers by the great disaster to that vessel. ,As I understand that the poor lady is in very straitened circumstances since the loss of her daughter, who was the breadwinner of the family, I sincerely hope that something yet will be done to help her in Jier need. Her address is 78, Abattoir Road, Roselle, Balmain, New South Wales.— am, etc., Sympathiser.
