BUNKER'S HILL 6.M. GO.
The manager of the Bunker's Hill Gold Mining Company wired yesterday stating that 101b of picked stone had been secured in No. 7 stope and 61b in the leading stope east. MARATOTO G.M. CO. On Monday last Mr. E. F. Adams visited the Maratoto Gold Mining Company's mine and laid off the spot to sink a winze at No. 4 level on the Maratoto reef lo meet the rise going up on the lode at No. 5 level. Two shifts of two men each are employed in the rise, which is up to 25ift, and two shifts of two men each will be employed in sinking the winze. The above work of rising and sinking will be kept continuously going. The new reef in the Payrock section has been, further broken down, and assays made average £13 7s 4d per ton. „ OHINEMURI RIVER SYNDICATE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN (foRRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Friday. The Olimemuri River Syndicate, who for the past three or four months have been engaged in erecting a plant for treating tailings in a certain area of the Ohinenmri River, have completed its erection, and have practically arranged all preliminaries for immediate operations. A commencement will be made on Monday next. GOLD SHIPMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday. The Bank of New Zealand shipped to Auckland this evening, per the Wakatere, four boxes containing 37550z of gold, valued approximately at £10,000. WHITE STAR G.M. CO. In the White Star mine at Cabbage E-ty, the reef, on being broken tiown, phoiva strong colours of gold. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Friday. No. 2 level is now 90ft off the winze, which proves that the run of gold is going down. SEA VIEW TRIBUTERS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Friday. Messrs. Daldy and Veriy have completed the treatment of a parcel of ore from their tribute in: the Sea View claim (late Success), for a yield of 250z of gold, valued at £69. MACARONIC G.M. CO. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Friday. This company is erecting a battery of five heads of stampers in proximity to its claim at Mat am at eke. The whole of the plant has been delivered at the site, and the erection thereof is being proceeded with. It is anticipated the plant will be erected and ready to start crushing within six weeks from now. The mine is fairly well opened up, -and a quantity of ore is at grass. SOUTHERN MINING. [by TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Friday. The Arrow Falls Tunnel Company has obtained 80oz of coarse gold, being the clean-up from 12 days' sluicing.
