OYSTER FISHERIES.

The only lawful places to tako oysters on and after April 1 next will be the Tauranga oyster fishery (extending from the South Head of the Tairita Harbour to Opotiki), Hokianga Harbour, Kaipara Harbour, and the- leased beds in the Manukau. The last-named are only opened to leaseholders. The question of opening the beds at \Vharigape; Herekino, and ' Ahipara (on the west coast north of Hokianga), will be dealt with shortly, and duly notified. No portion of the northern oyster fisheries, nor the Auckland and Great Barrier—that is to say, none of the Hauraki Gulf fisheries, will be open for picking this season. .. X. , •
