The' present issue .of the Auckland Weekly News, now published, contains an exceptionally large number of handsome and interesting illustrations. Sport is well represented, the Auckland polo gymkhana and races providing a number of attractive illustrations. The Maori regatta at Ngaruawahia, as illustrated, shows exactly the novelty and picturesqueness of this great native carnival. The Waitara Regatta, tho Poverty Bay, and Hawke's Bay cricket teams. The opening of the Birkdale cycling track, trout-fishing in the Waikato, yachting in Auckland and in the Bay of Islands, all go to indicate the variety of sports in New Zealand, and how thoroughly New Zealanders support them.
