AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. The sharemarket was not very active yesterday. Sales were reported in National Insurances at 22s 3d, and New Zealand Shpiping sold at £7, with more buyers at £6 17s 6d, sellers not quoting. D.S.C.'s sold at lis 7d. Other investment stocks were quoted at about- late rates. Mining stocks were quiet. Waihi Extended.-; sold at Is, with more buyers at- that figure at closing time, sellers Is Id. Kuranuis sold at 3d. Other mining lines were quoted at about late rates. WAIHI WARDEN'S COURT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Wednesday. This morning, before Mr. R. S. Bush, Warden, the following applications were granted:—Alfred Long, Waihi No. 2 special quartz claim, work to be commenced within 21 days; John Newdick, Great Boulder claim, work to be commenced within 21 days: Thomas Godkin, residence site, section 775, Waihi; Wm. Roycroft, timber warrant, 20 acres at Walmsley Creek, excepting reserved trees; Robert Worth, surrender claim; John Sullivan, residence site No. 076, Waihi; Wm. Stewart, residence section 495, Waihi, as an abandoned section; Robt. Worth, surrender of Federal Extended claim; Waihi South Gold Mining Company, certificate of reduction on Christmas Box, New Year, and Waihi Welcome special claims for two men each for six months, work to be continued from Grand Junction property; Philip M. French, residence site, two roods, Waikino (granted as an abandoned section); David Stevenson, timber cutting warrant of 20 acres at Mataura (excepting the reserved trees): H. W. Frith, timber cutting warrant -if 20 acres (excepting reserved trees); H. Marley, balance of kauri heads, etc., at Waitete Creek, on valuation; Waihi Borough Council, business site, section part 20; W. Roycroft, three rimu trees at Walmsley's Creek (on valuation). A number of applications were adjourned. Irvine v. Ryan: Plaint for forfeiture of residence site, section 531, Waihi, on the grounds of abandonment. Forfeiture decreed.

Graham and others v. Waihi Extended Gold Mining Company:' The reserved judgment in this case, which had occupied the Court for the past two Court days, was given this morning. Mr. Finn appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. Mueller for defendant company. This was a claim for work done, deposit lodged, and damages for breach of contract, in that the company did not provide sufficient tools. Judgment was given for plaintiffs for the amount paid into Court, £13 14s 3d, and the amount held back as percentage. No costs were allowed.
