THE DREYFUS CASE.
FRESH LIGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Received February 5, 12.39 a.m.) Parts February 4. A campaign in France for the full rehabilitation of Captain Dreyfus is expected. A detective has purchased in Madrid a, document throwing fresh light on the case, and M. Jaures, Head of the Socialist party, will shortly produce it in the Chamber of Deputies.
Captain Alfred Dreyfus in 1894 was convicted of having sold or given military secrets to a foreign Pow-sr. He was degraded in 1895, and imprisoned on the He da Diable on March 10, 1895. lie was brought back on July 1. 1899. and taken to Rennes for a new trial, being found guilty and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. Be was, however, pardoned on September 19, 1859.
