COOKS AND STEWARDS' UNION.
[by telegraph.press association.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Cooks and Stewards' Union has applied to have a dispute with the Union Company and the Northern Steamship Company referred to the Conciliation Board. Demands are made for payment ranging from £14 to £1 10s a month, with eight hours a day at the terminating ports, and 10£ hours at sea.
