JUDICIAL CHANGES.

MR. JUSTICE CONOLLY'S RETIRE-

MENT.

MR. JUSTICE EDWARDS COMES TO

AUCKLAND.

MR. JUSTICE COOPER TO RESIGN THE ARBITRATION COURT.

[BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

Wellington-, Wednesday. To-night's Post says:—"lt is .reported that the retirement of Mr. Justice Conolly from the Supreme Court Bench, which, has been talked of for some time past, will, in all probability, take place after, the March sitting of the Court of Appeal. It is probable that Mr. Justice Edwards will then leave Wellington, and will take up the Auckland district circuit work, his place in Wellington being taken by Mr. Justice Cooper, who would, in that case, relinquish his present position as president of the Arbitration Court. This change would make it necessary for the Government to appoint an additional Justice, who would act as president of the Arbitration Court.
