The committee of the Avondale smoke concert to returned troopers wish to express their sincere thanks to the ladies who so kindly prepared refreshments, and also to those who so kindly contributed towards the success of the concert. An entertainment in connection with St. Luke's Ladies' Guild, Remuera will be held in the Parish Hall to-morrow evening. The programme consists of vocal and instrumental music, interesting and humorous reeitatiSns, etc. Mr. Louis Lewis, auctioneer, conducts sales or' house furnishings to-day at Ka.rangahape Road, and on Saturday at Norman's Hill, Onehunga.
