AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Investment lines were still in fair demand on the Exchange yesterday. New Zealand Accidents .sold at 28s 6d and 28s 9d, more being offered at the latter price. Northern Steamships (paid-up) were done at 15s 3d, Leyland-O'Briens at 37s 6d, and Riverhead Paper Mills at 27s 6d. Inquiry for Bank of New Zealands was firmer at 63s 6d, sellers 665. For National Banks buyers offered 81s, sellers asking 84s 6d. South British Insurances hardened, sellers quoting at 91s, buyers 83s 6d. New Plymouth Gas were looked for up to £7, selfers £7 10s. In mining lines Kuranuis changed hands at 6£d. Tairua Broken Hills eased, business being done at 8s Gel. with further sellers at 8s 9d, buyers 8s 6d. Waihi .Souths sold at 6£d. " Crowns had better demand at lis, sellers lis 6d. Waihis were steadily inquired for at £5 9s, no sellers quoting. For Waitekauris 2s 2d was offered, without sellers. Woodstocks had buyers at os 3d, sellers 3s 9d. Bunker's Hills sold freely at from 4s 3d to 4s 5d to 4s 4d, sellers closing at 4s sd, buyers 'is 4d. In other lines late prices ruled. MAY QUEEN EXTENDED G.M. CO. The manager of the May Queen Extended Cold Mining Company wired yesterday stating that the reef had been broken down in the east drive, and that dabs and colours of gold were still seen in the quartz.
