BOWLING.
The annual meeting of the Rocky Nook Bowling Club was held on "Wednesday evening in the Kingslaud Methodist schoolroom. There was a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet showed the club to have a credit balance of £18, the debentures held by members being the only liabilities. The following officers were elected:—President. Mr. Thos. Hodgson; vice-presidents, Messrs. W.. Moor and R. C. Whitham ; committee, Messrs. Thos. Steadman, Geo. Armstrong, J. H. Harrison, and T. Ellesdon ; green superintendent, Mr. J, Bouskill; treasurer, Mr. F. Taylor; secretary, Mr. N. C. Veale; auditor, Mr. H. C. Haselden. Plans of a pavilion, drawn by Mr. Jacobscn, architect, were adopted, and debentures amounting to £50 for the erection of the pavilion were taken up by members in the meeting. The. club decided to register under the Unclassified Societies Act. A vote of thanks was given to the out-going committee of management. A working-bee is hold every Saturday to get the green in good order for the season.
