• London, August 12. The Colonial Office officials and Viscount Kitchener will welcome Botha, De Wet, and De la Key at Southampton on Saturday, and will escort them to the great naval review in a special steamer. / The King will receive the Boer leaders aboard the Royal yacht. ~ , They then, proceed to Holland, hoping to compel ex-President Kruger to ] disgorge some of the money in his possession for the benefit of the ruined burghers.
The Daily Mail states that Wolmarans, Wessels, and ; Fischer are coming to Southampton in order to attempt to dissuade the Boer generals from accepting the hospitality of the King.
Mr. Reitz, who has arrived at The Hague, declares that he signed the peace settlement in South Africa as State Secretary, but will continue to fight as an individual. Reuter states that the late Lucas Meyer, in his last . interview, disabused Kruger's mind of the idea that the terras of surrender included secret clauses.

The Daily Mail states that Botha and De Wet have arrived at Madeira, and are delighted at the arrangements by which they will participate in the naval review.
Botha and De la Rey will be appointed members of the Legislative Council of the Transvaal.
