AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. The market was fairly active yesterday, investment lines changing hands freely. Bank of New Zealands were done at 60s, with buyers left at same price, sellers 61s 6d. New Zealand Insurances maintained an'upward tendency, sales being reported at 76s 9d and 775, late buyers offering 75s 6d without sellers. Taupiri Coals sold at 19s, more being offered at that figure, buyers 18s 6d. Levland-O'Briens had sale at 35s and 365, sellers closing at the higher rate, with buyers at 34 6d. Mitchelson Timbers had sale at 17s 2d. Buyers of Standard Insurances advanced from 17s 6d to 17s 9d, no sellers quoting. In mining lines Tairua Broken Hills were done at 7s, and Waihi Extended* at Is 3d and Is 4d. There was inquiry for Waihis at £5 7s 6d, without sellers. In other lines late prices ruled. 1 : ' - '• '■'■-•'-'. _ KOJLA.TA BONANZA G.M. CO. In the Komata Bonanza Gold Mining Company's mine, No. 1 level is in 111 ft. The country is a nice sandstone, and several small leaders have been passed through. The quartz is of a kindly appearance and mineralised, and everything indicates an ore body not far away. SOUTHERN MINING-. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Wednesday. At a meeting of shareholders in the Earnscleugh No. 3 Dredging and Electric Power Company it was decided to go into voluntary liquidation. The dredge was to cost originally £16,000, but £23,000 has been expended on it. A trial run was got, but the shareholders declined to go further to get it into working order. ■-. The half-yearly statement, of the affairs, of the Reeves' Proprietary Company to May 31 shows that the dredge won during the period 5020z 12dwt of gold, valued at £1998 15s. After paying for all repairs, coal and office expenses, and an interim dividend, there is a balance of £661 8s 2d. Since May 31 the dredge has won 115oz 16dwt of gold, and the company has at credit £1100. During the recent stoppage the dredge received a thorough overhaul.
