ROBBERY OF JEWELLERY.

" [BY TELEGRAPH. — ASSOCIATION.] : Dtjnedin, Sunday. >- The. police have arrested another man in connection with the robbery of jewellery from members of the Pollard's Company at.the Central Hotel. It would appear that two men walked upstairs at the Shades Hotel first, and went through the bedrooms of the servants, but so far as is known took nothing. They then went to the Central, and. cooly appropriated the jewellery and valuables of the .members of Pollard's Company staying there. Two men were, seen, some time,; later by plain-clothes 'constables', examining a watch under a lamppost, but though suspicious, the constables were; Satisfied with t identifying the men. When the theft was reported, shortly afterwards, they were able to at once put their hands on one named Ward, who was going home by the last train, to Port.Chalmers.
