THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.

The mail steamer Ventura is due from Sydney early this morning, and is timed to proceed on to Pago Pago, Honolulu, and San Francisco at two o'clock' this afternoon. The steamer brings no passengers for Auckland, but has a good number for through ports. Upon arrival the steamer will anchor in the stream, and after the passengers have undergone medical inspection they will be permitted to come on shore, but no visitors will be allowed on board of the steamer during her stay in port. Passengers joining the steamer at Auckland will, with their luggage, be taken off in one of the ferry steamers, leaving the ferry tee at half-past one o'clock. The Southern portion of the mails for the Ventura will arrive at Onehunga from New Plymouth by the Ngapuhi thi ( s morning.
