AQUATICS.
NEW ZEALAND YACHT SQUADRON. A GENERAL meeting of the members of the New Zealand Yacht Squadron was held in the clubrooms, Palmerston Buildings, last night. There was a large attendance, and the commodore (Mr. C. P. Murdoch) presided. The General Committee's report re new rooms for the club recommended that a flat iu Smeeton's new buildings. Queenstreet, be secured. Considerable discussion ensued, but it was finally decided to accept the recommendation of the committee. The commodore gave notice of motion to move at the next general meeting of members, '"That a sum not less than 10 per cent, of the amount' of members' subscriptions be placed towards a building fund, such amount not to bo used for any other purpose without the consent of a three-fourths vote of members." Mr. W. Airey gave notice to mow at the next general meeting, "That a refreshment locker be provided in the clubrooms." The meeting closed by the whole of the members joining in singing "'God Save the King."
