..-The, mail steamer Ventura left Sydney for Hi Auckland yesterday, and is due on Friday ■ morning next. The steamer brings no pas- . sengers for Auckland, and will remain at anchor during her stay in this port, no visile tors being allowed on board. Passengers joining the steamer at Auckland, will, with . ■ their baggage, be taken off by a ferry , steamer leaving the ferry tee at half-past one p.m., the "Ventura being timed to leave for Pago Pago, Honolulu, and San Francisco, at two p.m. on Friday. /The mail steamer Sierra, with the Eng- ; lish mails, which left London on May 31, is due from San Francisco on Tuesday next, and proceeds on to Sydney upon discharge )■:;§/: of" cargo.
