' Charge of Vagrancy : Margaret Wilkie was charged with being found at night without • lawful excuse in the railway station enclosure, and also with being an idle and disorderly person, with insufficient lawful means of support. She admitted the first charge but said that she had sufficient lawful means of support, being assisted by one of her sons Sub-Inspector Mitchell said there were a large number of previous convictions against the defendant, but the police were anxious to help her, and if she would consent to go to the Salvation Army Rescue Home, he would ask that she be convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon This course was adopted by the Bench on the woman stating that she would go to the home.
