The match was resumed to-day. Hopkins was bowled without adding to his previous total. Five wickets for 161 runs. Armstrong compiled 25 before being dismissed. Six wickets for 18. Duff and Trumble carried the total to 194, when the latter played one on to his wicket, the Sydneyite doing all the scoring. Carter, Howell, and Saunders only made a few runs. Duff carried his bat. The innings closed for 218. Derbyshire made a poor stand in the second innings, and were got rid of for 78. Jones fielded in place of Trumper, who had injured his finger.
