THE ELINGAMITE. The light keeper at Tiritiri reported that a steamer was passing at 1.30 a.m. to-day, which will probably be the Elingamite, from Sydney. The steamer should make port about 3 a.m., and will anchor in the stream for medical inspection and fumigation.

THE ST. FILLANS. The Tv-er liner St. Fillans, in continuation of her voyage from .New York and .Australia, left Sydney for Auckland on Friday afternoon, and is due on Thursday next. Messrs. T. ami S. Morrin, Limited, are the local agents for the steamer.

THE STAR OF NEW" ZEALAND. The Tvser liner Star of New Zealand arrived at Melbourne from New York on Intlav afternoon last, and alter calling at Sydney comes on to Auckland to tbe local agency of Messrs. T. and S. Morrin, Limited.

THE WAIPORI. The Union Company's steamer V. anion left We3tport for Auckland at 10 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive on Wednesday next T!-e steamer has been detained at. Yvestport for several days owing to the high state of the river, which has been in Hood, caused by the recent heavy rains.

THE OVERDUE DECIMA. , The Norweignn barque Decima, from Kaipara, to London, regarding which some hrtxiety was recently exhibited owing to her being considerably overdue, has reached her destination In safety.

THE ZEALANDIA. The Hnddart-Parker steamer Zealandia. Captain Walter M. Hipgrave. arrived from Southern and Fast Coast ports yesterday morning alter a fast run from Gisborne oi 204 hours. Mr. Speakman the purser, reports that the steamer left Dunedin on Tuesday last, and called at Lyttelton, Vnellihgton. Napiet, and Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and arriving at 8.45 a.m. yesterday, berthing at Quay-street Jetty No. 2. Fine weather prevailed throughout the passage. The Zealandia proceeds on to Sydney at 5.38 p.m. to-day.

THE O. M. TUCKER. The barque It. M. Tucker, which is now on the passage from Newcastle to Auckland, will upon discharge he dismantled and turned into a hulk at this port for the Westport Coal Company.

THE WAT MATH. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer AA'aimate arrived from London and South Africa at midnight on Saturday, and anchored in the stream for medical inspection. Dr. E. W. Sharmaii. the port Health officer, visited the steamer yesterday morning, and everything being in order granted pratique, and the Wainiate was berthed at the Queen-street Wharf shortly after noon. Captain J. .1. Hamon is still in command, ami brings his fine steamer into port in excellent order. Tile other deck officers arc: Chief, Mr. A. Vine: second, Mr. J. F. Lb Brocq: third. Mr. R. R. Neale: fourth, Mr. J. Makepeace; surgeon. Dr. Pigeon. Mr. Pitcher is in charge of the engine department, and has with him Messrs. Barbour, Wilson, Weller, and Bartholomew, Messrs. Pryce-Bfdwn and Collins being the refrigerating engineers. Of the voyage the second omcer reports: The Wainiate left the Royal Albert Docks. London at 2 p.m. on April 26 with 2400 tons of cargo and 193 horses. Called at Southampton and Queenstown, where more horses were shipped, and finally left the latter port at noon on the. 29th for Capetown. Experienced fine weather crossing the liar of Biscay! passed Tone rifle on Mar 3, and arrived at Capetown at 11.30 p.m. on May 20. having met with fine weather the whole passage. Proceeded on to Pert Elizabeth the next day, and reached that port at 2 a.m. oh the 23rd. Having landed all the horse« in good order, resumed the voyage to Auckland at 2 p.m. on the 261 h. Strong north-west gales and high seas prevailed In crossing the Southern Ocean, and thick, misty weather to the southward of Tasmania; thence moderate to strong winds in the Tasman Sea; Cape Maria Van Diemen being passed at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday, and the harboUr made a? above. The Wainiate bns 2400 tons of general cargo on hoard, over 2000 tons of which is for this port, and the work of discharge will be commenced this morning, and the steamer is expected to leave for the South about the end of this week.

THE SOUTHERN CROSS. The Melanesian mission yacht Southern Cross, which arrived from a cruise to Melanesia and Norfolk Island late on Friday night, was inspected by Dr. E. W. Shaman, the port health officer, on Saturday morning and admitted to pratique. Of the voy-1 age Captain Hammond i reports: The Southern Cross left Auckland on March 20, and reached Norfolk Island on the 27th. After passing the North Cape on the evening of the 21sb a heavy gale from north, to north-west and west was encountered, during which two of the sails were blown to pieces and the starboard boat stove in by a heavy sea, which broke on board. The vessel was have-to until the 24th. when the weather moderated. Left Norfolk Island on April 3, and met with moderate to strong south-east trades to the New Hebrides, and similar winds, with thick, rainy" weather through the Hanks and Torres Groups. Santa Orur, was reached on the Bth and the Solomons entered on the 21st. The weather was generally fine during the stay in the group, which was left on May 19. 'I lie Torres Group was reached on the 26th. after a long passage of strong winds and incessant rain. Similar weather prevailed in the Banks and New Hebrides Groups, and Vila was reached on June 6. Sailed the next day for Norfolk Island, and met with southerly airs and fine weather until within 100 miles of the island, when strong southerly wincM were experienced. Arrived at Norfolk Island on the 14th; rind left for Auckland on the 16th. Light north-east and east winds and fine weather prevailed until arrival. The Southern Cross will be docked and overhauled before leaving for the islands again in about three weeks.
