The Northern Company's steamer WelUng ton arrived from Whangarei on Saturday afternoon, with passengers and general cargo and leaves for the same place again to-night. On Saturday night the Northern Company'! steamer Muritai arrived from Mercury Baj and Kuaotunu, and leaves for the same place: again to-night. Yesterday morning the Northern Company": steamer Waitangi arrived from Ohiwa ant Whakatane. and leaves to-night foi Tairua Whangamata, and Tauranga. THE WARSHIPS. rf.M.s. Ringarooma leaves on a cruise in the gulf to-day, and will go as far as the Great Barrier. The warship returns to Auckland on Saturday next 11.M.5. Phoebe and Mildura were at .Tervis Bay last week, engaged in prize shooting at large targets. Both fillips return to Sydney shortly. ■ If. M.s. Torch left Sydney for Wellington yesterday. The Pylades left Sydney for Fiji yesterday, to be present at the Coronation festivities at Sura. THE VENTURA. The mail steamer Ventura is due from San Francisco, Honolulu, and Pago Pago to-fhor-row. The steamer has a. very large cargo to land at this port, and will proceed on to .Sydney on discharge. THE SONOMA. The mail steamer Sonoma, Captain K. Van Oterendorp, arrived from Sydney early on Saturday morning, and anchored In the stream, where she was visited and inspected by Dr. B. W. Sharman. the port health officer, and tho passengers granted pratique. Mr. G, A. Hodson, the parser, reports: The Sonoma left Sydney at 1.18 p.m. and passed through Port Jackson Heads at 2.10 p.m. on Tuesday last; rounded the North Cape nt 2.40 p.m. on Friday, and anchored in port at 5.50 a.m. on Saturday. Fine weather, with moderate easterly winds and sea, prevailed throughout the passage. Th? Sonoma resumed her voyage to Pago Pago, Honolulu, and San Francisco shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday. TUB ZEALANDIA. Tho dart-Parker steamer Zealandia is due from Sydney to-nieht. and will anchorin the stream for medical inspection and fumigation. The steamer leaves foi East Coast and Southern ports to-morrow afternoon.

The Ehngamite leaves for Sydney at 5.30 p.m. to-uay. THE CHARLES G. BICE. The American barque Charles G. I!ice, Cap-| tain Payne, arrived from New York. Kio tie Janeiro, and Wellington yesterday morning with a part cargo of American merchandise. 'Die barque sailed from New York in December last, and met with extremely bad weather, which necessitated her putting into Rio de Janeiro for repairs, particulars of which have already appeared in the HERALD. The barque arrived at Wellington on May 17, and on discharge of cargo sailed for Auckland on June 1. Met with easterly winds to the East Cape, which was made on Wednesday last, followed by calm weather crossing the Ear of Plenty; thence strong north-east, winds to arrival. The barque will berth at the wharf this morning, and on discharge loads with kauri gum for New York. THE MARGARITA. The fine barque Margarita. Capt. Graham, arrived from Lyttelton yesterday morning with a. cargo of grain and produce. The master reports sailing from the Southern port on Mav 30. and met with southerly winds for 24 hours: thence light, variable winds to making Cnvier Island at 4 p.m. on Saturday: thence north-east winds to arrival. The barque will berth at the wharf to-day to discharge. THE NIWARU. The new steamer Niwaru, of the Tyser line, Captain W. P. Fishwick. arrived at. Sydney from London and Melbourne on June 1, and comes on to this port shortly.
