AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Tins market was fairly active yesterday. In investment lines Northern Steamships, contributing, sold at 7s 6d, Mitchelson Timbers at 17s, and Mosgiel Wools at 755. In mining lines May Queen Extendeds were done at 7£d,':Bd, Bid, 9d, and Bd, sellers closing at Bd, with buyers at 7d. Komata Reefs had sale at Is 6d, sellers closing at Is 7d, buyers Is sd. Tairua Broken Hills changed hands at 10s with further buyers at 9s lOd, sellers 10s 6d. Woodstocks sold at Is 9d. Waihis were held firm at £6; buyers offering £5 15s. For Grand Junctions buyers receded to lis. In other lines late prices ruled.
TAIRUA BROKEN HILLS G.M. CO. The directors of the Tairua Broken Hills Gold Mining Company have declared another dividend (the second) of 3d per share on .ill fully paid-up shares, and in proportion on all partly paid-up shares. The dividend will be payable to-morrow (Friday), at the office of the company. KUAOTUNU SYNDICATE. During, the past month the Kuaotunu Syndicate crushed and treated 410 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £437. This shows an improvement upon the previous month's return, when 380 tons yielded £302. ' NEW FOUR-IN-HAND G.M. CO. The manager of the New Four-in-Hand Gold Mining Company's mine (Coromandel) has notified the local office, of the company that some nice picked stone has been secured in the low level. Mr. W. D. Holgate (managing director) proceeds to Coromandel to-day to inspect the new developments. MARATOTO. The contractors have advanced the new crosscut 10ft during last week, having driven in all 495 ft from the start, leaving 25ft to be driven to the objective point, but the contract does not terminate until they have cut through the Maratoto reef. BROKEN HILL, WAIOMO. i The crosscut from No. 4 level is now. in a distance of 77ft. The report of Mr. E. F. Adams in respect of the winze decided to be sunk on the lode at No. 3 level, and the survey of the crosscut is not yet to hand. BIG BEETLE, GUMTOWN. Mr. F. McMahon, the mine manager, reports that the crosscut being put in to intersect No. 2 leader at a lower level is in 15ft. SOUTHERN MINING.
