SALE OF HORSES.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] TIMARTJ, Thursday. The first autumn sti'ow and sale of horses, under the auspices of the Timaru Agricultural and Pastoral Association, was held today. The attendance 01 farmers was small, and only 38 horses came forward in. 24 classes. A feature was the excellence of the yearlings' sale by auction. Poor draughts sold at £20 to £48; an entire colt brought 134 guineas. For light horses there was poor sale.
