EXPECTED. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. Paris, April 27. I here are 2500 candidates for the forthcoming French general elections. ;'•:.,.'>■ (Received April 29, 12.26 a.m.) . Paris, April 28, The French elections are singularly quiet, even in Paris, where the Nationalists have gained many successes.
The provincial results indicate- a Ministerial victory, though many second ballots will be necessary. The elected include MM. Delcasse, Leygues and Lanessan, members of the Ministry, and MM. Millevoye, Lockroy, De3chanel, Ribot, Bourgeois, and Doumer. . Few Nationalists have been successful in the provinces. M. Drumont was defeated.
M. Milleranci, Minister for Commerce, and M. Brisson require second ballots.
