THE final or the combined double's in the Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club's tournament was wen by Miss Willi-, and Mr. .Senior, who defeated Miss Pickering and Mr. Stewart. A ladies' hockey club has been formed here, with Mr. 0. Stewart aj coach. NGAKUAWAHIA. The annual meeting of the Debating (Society was held on Wednesday. Mr. V. Morris presided over a, well-attended meeting. The report showed a membership "of over 30. The receipts from the last session amounted to £3 13s M, and the expenditure to £3 7s 6d, leaving a credit balance. of £5 6s. It was decided to devote the balance towards' the erection of a flagstaff, and the purchase of books for the school library. Mr. T. W. Davies was re-elected president; Mr. 1 Warren, secretary. A programme was drawn up for the coming session; The society will meet fortnightly during the next six months. The first drill of the local section of the Huntly Kiflcs took place in the Hall on Thursday evening. There was a good attendance. Captain Llliolt put the men through some useful drill. .
