The present issue of the Auckland Weekly News contains, a number of exexceptionally large and interesting views, which will prove highly attractive to people in all parts of'the world; ■'■"■'. There are several panoramic views of Auckland, which show this, beautiful city under quite'new aspects,, and which at the same time give a graphic idea' of the daily business work of the port. The North Island bowling tournament is reproduced in a very handsome manner, the players representing the districts throughout the whole of the North being depicted on a scale never before reached. The Wellington races and tho Takapuna races are'both illustrated, the main events of each being depicted. Views of the Delphic, the largest steamer ever, docked in New Zealand, show this vessel in the Calliope Dock, Auckland. This picture will give the naval authorities at Home some idoa of the capacity of the dock for warships, and will draw, attention to the fact that Auckland is now one of the finest naval depots in the southern hemisphere. Views of the Eighth Contingent, of recruits for the Seventh Contingent, and portraits of the new commanders of the Australian and New Zealand military forces, show another phase of colonial Imperialism. A number of groups and portraits and miscellaneous views of wide general interest, make this issue an admirable one for mailing by the outgoing 'Frisco steamer. The issue is now on sale, and can be obtained from all agents and runners.
