FIRE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] New Plymouth, Wednesday. A fire broke out in a shed used by Messrs. Braund and Co., upholsterers, at half-past four o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Braund had been in the shed twenty minutes before the outbreak, there being then no sign of fire. A boy was teasing kapok and left for a few minutes. On returning the building .was in flames. The fire brigade could do no good beyond saving the buildings close by. There is no insurance. ■
