A COUNTESS DIVORCED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. London, January 26. The Earl of Kosslyn has divorced the Countess on the ground of desertion. James Francis Harry St. Clair-Erskine, fifth Earl of Kosslyn; was born in 1869, and educated at Eton and Oxford. Ho succeeded to the earldom in 1890, iit which year lie married Violet, daughter of Mr. Robert Charles de Grey Vyher, of Lincolnshire. He was lieutenant of the 3rd Battalion of the Northampshire Regiment from 1386 to 1890, and captain of the Fife Light Horse Volunteers from 1890 to 1897. Ho served with Thorneycroft's Horse at the relief of Ladysmith, and was war correspondent for the Daily Mail in South Africa in 1900. He was also editor of Scottish Life. His stage name is James Erskine. He published a book called " Twice Captured" in 1900.
