' AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. . No business was transacted on the Exchange on Saturday. Investment lines had fair demand at recent rates. In mining lines Crowns were still wanted at 10s sd, sellers ; lis. Waihis had buyers at £5 18s, sellers asking £6 ss. Waihi Grand Junctions were quoted at 365, buyers offering 32s 6d. aitekauris had sellers at 9s 3d, buyers 9s Id. In other lines late prices ruled.

HIKUTAIA GOLD SYNDICATE. An interim clean-up at this company's battery has resulted in the manager (Mr. Roche) banking 470z sdwt of bullion, secured from the plates, valued at £118. A general clean-up will take 1 place' about the end of the month, by which time about 350 tons of ore will have been treated.

NEW MOANATAIARI TRIBUTERS. [from OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday. Six parties of this company's tributers have crushed a total of 27 tons of general quartz, and 261b of picked stone, for a return of 760z 15dwt of melted gold, valued at £208 18s.

MAY QUEEN HAURAKI TRIBUTERS. [from our OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ' Thames, Saturday. Two parties of tributers in this company's mine have crushed a total of six tons of general ore and 161b of picked stone for a return of 28oz of melted gold, valued at £77 2s lOd.

MONOWAI GOLD MINES. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday. The result of October month's operations at this company's mine and battery is just to hand, and is as follows :—365 tons of ore were crushed, from which 20 tons 14cwt of concentrates were obtained and forwarded to the Dapto Smelting works, which resulted in a net return to the company, after deducting all treatment charges, etc., of £306 13s 9d; 18cwt of picked stone, which was also treated at Dapto, yielded a net return of £100 5s sd, and 217 tons' of tailings treated at the . company's cyanide works resulted in a yield of bullion valued at £104 12s. The total value of October's return was, therefore, £511 lis '2d. SOUTHERN MINING. [by TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Greymouth, Sunday. Dredging returns : Al, 30oz for 125 hours ; Greenstone Junction, 670z 16dwt for 125 hours ; Leviathan, 16oz 17dwt for 116 hours ; Pactohis, 740z 2dwt for 134 hours ; North Beach, 30oz for the week. It is understood that the Notown dredge, just started, returned 20oz last week.
