The German four-masted barque Adelaide, which put into Sydney recently, whilst on the voyage from New York to Yokohama, for a supply of water, resumed her voyage on January 17. TIIE ANGLIA. t , The steamer Anglia, which left London on January 8, is the new cable steamer which is to lay the portion of the Pacific cable from Southport to Norfolk Island. After completing this work she will probably lay a branch lino to New Zealand, and then proceed to Fiji. THE WAERIMOO. _ . The Union Company's steamer Warrimoo, Captain H. W H. Chatfield, arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon, and anchored in. the stream for medical inspection, Dr. ii. W. Sharman, the port health officer, proceeded off to the steamer shortly after her arrival, and granted pratique, and the Warrimoo berthed at the Queen-street Wharf, where the passengers and mails were disembarked. me Warrimoo made a very quick passage across, and brought a large number of passengers in both classes, the majority being for Auckland, besides a considerable amount of general cargo. Mr. H. C. Seigei, the purser, to whom we are indebted for our flies, reports: Warrimoo left the company's wharf, Sydney. at 4.33 p.m., and cleared Port Jackson Heads, at 5.23 p.m. on Wednesday last; had the Threo Kings abeam at 8.41 p.m.. and. Oape Maria Van Diemen at 11.8 p.m. on Saturday, anchoring in the stream at 2.20 p.m. yesterday. ■ Experienced strong south-east winds, with heavy beam sea and cloudy wither, until Thursday; thence moderate to light sonxxieast winds and moderate sea to arrival. li.o Warrimoo leaves for East Coast and Southern ports to-morrow afternoon. THE JESSIE CRAIG. The fine barque Jessie Craig, Captain Matliieson, arrived from Newcastle at 8 p.m. on Saturday, anchoring below the Railway Wnart to await inspection by Dr. E. W. Sharman, the port health officer, who proceeded off to the vessel yesterday, and granted ner pratique. The master reports sailing from Newcastle on January 16. and met with northerly winds and fine weather to Cape Maria Van Diemen, which was passed on Thursday last; thence to port a succession of southerly gales and heavy seas. The barque brings a full cargo of coal, and will bertn at the wharf to-day to discharge. THE GANYMEDE. The iron barque Ganymede, belonging to Mr. W. S. Waterson, of Invercargill, anchored in the Rangitoto Channel last evening. The vessel is under the command of Captain Hillier, and comes to this port with a cargo of coal, and will come into harbour this morning. The Ganymede loaded produce in the South for South Africa, and after discharge at Durban sailed for Newcastle m ballast, arriving at the New South "U ales port on December 6.
