DEATH OF MR. H. N. QUICK.
[dy telegraph.—own' correspondent.] , :;- Thames, Wednesday. Mr. H.'.N, Quick, the well-known native interpreter, died at his residence, Parawai, late this afternoon. Deceased had been in ill-health for some time past, having been a great sufferer from asthma. He was for a great number of years native interpreter and bailiff in the R.M. Courts at Hamilton and Ngatuawahia, but ahout five years ago he was appointed interpretei at the Thames Court, which position he most efficiently filled up to the time of his retirement, about six month* a.go, through ill-health. Although of a somewhat retiring disposition, he was a man of ..most genial ; character, and was greatly esteemed and respected by all who came into contact with him. He leaves a wife and grown-up family, who have the sympathy of a very large circle of friends in their I sad bereavement..
