DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
Three artists from London in Miss Lizzie Kirk and Messrs. Edgar Granville and Frank Leon led the way at the City Hall last night, when each performer in turn was accorded a very hearty reception. A large audience was present. . Miss Kirk proved herself to be a particularly bright young serio. Her songs were exceptionally good/ and sho was given a very hearty reception. Of Mr. Granville's delightful comic melodies the audience apparently could not have enough, and he was encored again and again. Mr. Leon caught on from the outset, and it was not until he had rendered quite a number of song 3 that his hearers would permit him to leave the stage. Mr. Leon is also a dancer of a high stamp. These new performers are a welcome acquisition to the company.
