[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] CAMBRIDGE. A FaIR number of cattle were yarded: at Mr. W. J. Hunter's monthly sale of stock on Sa- : ' ~ turday last. Dairy cows at calving sold well, making up to £7 ss; springing heifers, from £4 10s to £5 ICS. The rain has had a good effect on the grass, consequently bidding was | brisk for all the store cattle yarded, all ■ selling, but one pen of yearlings. Strong calves (mixed sexes) made from £1 8s to £1.158;' steer calves, £1 7s to'£l 14s' Gd; 'choice'".' V ro«L heifer calves, £1 ss: 6d; a yearling steers, « £2 i 12s to;s £3; 18-months-old steers, £3 10s. ' pi JNot much beef was yarded;'- fat cows made up to £5 18s. No pigs were yarded, but there #fes was a keen inquiry for . them. Some good * ~ ? and harness horses were but - failed to find purchasers. - The usual lot of ,' r * sundries made fair prices.
