TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2-1.-Office will be open to the public from 7 to 8 p.m. for overcounter delivery of all classes of correspondence (registered and ordinary), including letters deliverable by carriers. All mails usually closing on Wednesday will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of midnight clearances, all city receivers will be cleared between the hours of 6 and 7 p.m. WEDNESDAY (CHRISTMAS DAY), DECEMBEE 25.—Office will bo closed to the public, but should the R.M.s. Sierra with San Francisco mails arrive, her mails will be sorted into private boxes, and if she leaves for Sydney during the day. a mail will bo made up for Australian colonies and Europe, via Suez. Time of despatch will be notified on notice board near posting boxes in Shortland-street. THURSDAY (BOXING DAY), DECEMBER 26. —Office will be open to the public between 9 and 10 a.m. Mails usually made up on Thursday after 10 a.m. will close at that hour. There will be one complete morning delivery bv carriers, starting at 7 in lieu of 8 a.m. TUESDAY, DECEMBER Arrangements will be identical with those notified for Tuesday. December 24.
