New Zealands, after selling ' at £2 10s, dropped to £2 8s 6d, at which figure s sales were reported closing, with sellers at s £2 10s. Nationals sold at £3 16s, and more are wanted at £3 15s 6d. ' Insurances : A fair business in these. New II Zealands sold at £3 10s, £3 10s 6d, and £3 e 10s 9d, closing with sellers at £3 lis, and t buyers at £3 9s . 6d. South British sold at £3 18s, and there are sellers at £3 19s. Na--1 tionals are unchanged. New Zealand Accidents receded a little, and sold at £2 17s 6d; j closing prices, sellers £2 18s and buyers £2 • l; 16s 6d. I 1 Shipping: A fair business in these. Devonport Ferrys, in view of a possible further is- . y sue, have been in request, and sold at £1 19s

and £2, and close with buyers at £§. North- , ern Steam, paid-up, sold at 18s 6d, and ditto, contributing - , at 8s Id and 8s 2d. Coals: These have been in better request. Hilcurangis are wanted at 8s 4d, and sellers ask 8s 9d. Taupiris sold at 17s and 17s 3d, closing with buyers at 17s. Westports, after dropping to £3 14s, suddenly advanced to £4- ss, at 'which price sales were reported. The advance is owing to a rumour the stock arc to be written up 10s per share. Timber: Leyland and O'Briens have sold at £1 lis 3d and £1 12s, ex div., closing with sellers at £1 13s, and buyers at £1 lis 6d. Kauri Timber, contributing, are offered at, Is 9d, ex div. of 4 per cent., just paid. Mitchelsons are quiet at about 17s. Gas: A good business in Aucklands. at advancing prices. Fully paids sold at £13 15s, £13 16s.' £13 18s, and £13 18s 6d, closing with sellers at £14, and buyers at £13 17s. New issue sold at £12 Bs, £12 10s, and £12 13s, closing with buyers at £12 10s. Thames arc wanted at £1 9s. Miscellaneous: New Zealand Drugs sold at £2 10s. Sharlauds are wanted at £1 2s. D.S.C.'s sold at 9s, and Milne and Choyce,
