The Government steamer Tutanekai arrived at Wellington from Lyttelton yesterday. Yesterday the tugboat Awarua arrived from fThananaki with a large rafts of logs. Last evening the tugboat Stella arrived from Waiharara with a raft of logs. " The auxiliary schooner Greyhound arrived from the North yesterday with several passengers and a full cargo of kauri gum, wool, etc. The oil engine trawler recently built by Logan Bros, will leave for the Bluff this morning, in charge of Captain Alexander. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Wellington left for Whangarei. . . The Northern Company's steamer Muritai left last night for the Great Barrier. THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL STEAMERS. The mail steamer Ventura left Sydney for 'Auckland on Tuesday afternoon, and is due an Saturday morning next. She proceeds on to Pago Pago, Honolulu, and San Francisco at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The mail steamer Sonoma, which left. Auckland on November 30, arrived at San Francisco at 7 a.m. on Monday last, well in advance of contract time. The mail steamer Sierra, having left San Francisco 25 hours behind contract time, is not expected to arrive at Auckland until Wednesday morning next.

THE WAIHORA. The Union Company's steamer Waihora left Gisborne for Auckland at 9 a.m. yesterday, aud should arrive about the same hour today. , ' ,

THE HAUROTO. The Union Company's steamer Hauroto finished discharging her cargo of raw sugar from Fiji at Chelsea yesterday morning, and came down and berthed at the Oueen-street Wharf to load for the Islands. The steamer leaves this evening for Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Sydney. ___

THE W AIM ATE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Waimate was busily engaged yesterday in taking in consignments of wool, kauri gum, etc., for London. ______

• THE OVALAU. The Union Company's steamer Ovalau finished discharging her cargo from the Eastern Pacific yesterday morning, and was shifted over to the. Hobson-street Wharf. The steamer does not leave for the Islands again until the 31st inst.

THE KOBE. The cargo steamer Kobe, under charter to the Tvser line, arrived at Melbourne from New York on Tuesday, and after calling at Sydney comes on to Auckland. Messrs. T. and S. Morrin, Limited, are the local agents for the steamer, which proceeds South on discharge. THE ABARENDA. The United States transport Abarenda is not expected to arrive at Auckland from Samoa until about the end of the year, her departure from Pago Pago being delayed to await the arrival of the mail steamer Sierra from San Francisco with her new commander. THE STAR OF ENGLAND. The Tyser liner Star of England left for Gisbome, Napier, and Wellington yesterday morning to put out the balance of hor cargo from London, and complete her loading for London. THE ISLE OF ERIN. • The barque Isle of Erin took in a large number of bales of wool for London yesterday, and she should be a full ship next week. TIE SABANAC The American barque Saranac, bound from Zanzibar to Auckland, which was reported off the Great Barrier on Tuesday morning, has not yet made port, having probably been : blown off by the strong westerly weather. The tugboat Awarua will go out in search of the . barque this morning. THE HAWEA.
