Acceptances for tiie above races close on Friday next at nine p.m. No moves of a noteworthy character were recorded yesterday in tho betting on the Auckland Cup. Nonette remains firm at 4- 10 1; St. Michael and Bluejacket figuring' at a point longer, \vhile no better quotation than 7 to 1 is forthcoming about Beddington.

At Fllerslie yesterday morning most of the Cup candidates performed strong exercise. Nonette, Coronet, and Formula were associated in a gallon extending to a mile and live furlongs. Nonette had the best of the "go," Bluejacket, who was assisted at intervals by St. Olga and Paul Beaton, traveled a mile and a half, pulling up sound. St, Michael, who is one of the biggest sons of St. Leger that has figured 011 the turf, strode over once round by himself, and then ran about six fttrloncfs 011 the course proper, moving well. Beddiugton ran a satisfactory mile and a-quarter; and Dun Dun went, a mile and five furlongs. i.-enschikolf. Royal Artillery, and Cruciform were exercised, and moved freely. Some little doubt still seems to exist about Ideal being brought up to Auckland, owing to a difficulty regarding her passage north by the Vvaihora. If the mare does make the journey it is understood she will do so under the charge of I'. Davis, the well-known jockey. The two-year-old Porirua was brought tip to Auckland yesterday.

AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB'S .SUM M MKETING. / Acceptances for all trotting events to bo decided on the opening day close 011 Friday next at ten p.m. Mr. Mark notifies that ponies which have not: been measured this season will be put under tho standard at Alexandra Park today, between tho hours of three and hairpast four p.m. The handicaps for the pony events to bo decided 011 the opening day of the meeting are not to appear until the ?,7th inst. The handicapper will thus have .the advantage of the running on Boxing Day to guide him in his conclusions.

The privileges in connection with the Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting will he submitted to audi a on Friday next by Mr. Iv Pa-Meson tioldsbro'. As matters point to the A.T.C. scoring a record success, it is anticipated that the various lots will give rise to spirited competition.
