London advices indicate that the derelict reported by the Loch Broom on November 18 is probably the Glasgow barque Norfolk Island, bound from Glasgow to Table Bay, 1 which was burned at sea in latitude 25 degrees and longitude 23 degrees west. Part of the crew were saved sad landed arBahia.
RATS AND PLAGUE Melbourne, November 30. An examination of rats at Tooradin showed that they are not infected with plague. DEATH OF A FAMOUS SHEEP BREEDER. Sydney, November 30. The death is announced of Mr. G. H. Cox, M.L.C., the famous sheep breeder. MACLAREN'S TEAM IN AUSTRALIA. (Received November 33, 8.7 p.m.) Sydney, November 30. In the match with the Northern District, the latter lost 15 wickets for 557, and declared the innings closed. Tho Englishmen lost one wicket for 70.
INTERSTATE CRICKET. Sydney, November 30. In the match New South Wales v. South Australia, New South Wales have lost three wickets for 219Trumper 21, Kelly 'it, Iredale 45, Noble (not out) 47, Gregory (not out) 20.
