BANKRUPTCY.
JIBS. Axn OxiOX, of Parncll, filed a petition in bankruptcy yesterday afternoon. Her liabilities aro stated at £124 3s Id, and her assets nt £25, this being, tho gross auction W ] U9 of hor furniture, tho whole being subject to a registered bill of sale, leaving a deficiency of £99 3s Id. Her sworn statement is to the effect that for the past six years, up to eight months ago, sho has kept I'boardinghouso, and a yea. prioi to that her husband left her with four young children to support, and had never contributed anything towards her maintenance, but ho ■ wis ordered by. tho Court to pay 4s a week for the keep of jaoh child, and was now in arrear to the extent of £30 or thereabouts. He bad offered to return to the home, but she objected. Sho had been dependent on her friends for the past eight months, and filed because a' creditor distrained foi £4 4s, a friend advancing tho filing fee. She owed £76 Os Id for necessaries of life and medical attendance, " and hoi furniture was worth about £25, oyer which there is a bill of sale far £48 3s to Amelia S. Duval.
