[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. At the usual meeting of the Incorporated Institute of Accountants field to-day the following were elected members of the Council —J. Scott, Wellington!; W. Gundry, Christchurch ; W. Bruce, Auckland ; W. Brown, Dunedin ; G. Hirsch, Palmerston North ; E. Lifi'ton, Wanganui. Messrs. S. T. Leary and It. Duncan were promoted from the associateship to the fellowship of the institute. A cross-country horseman named Peter Williams, employed by the Hon. J. D. Ormond, died in the Wellington Hospital today of Inflammation of the lungs. He was Buffering from influenza contracted at. the recent Grand National meeting at Iticcarton. Nelson, Thursday. The Countess oi Ranfurly will open the Nelson School of Music and Concert Hall on Tuesday, when a concert will be given, and an ode composed by Mr. Joynt, with music by Herr Lemmer, principal of the School of Music,, .will .be sung.,
