Several New York newspapers discuss the displeasure manifested by a number of Irish Nationalists in the House of Commons at the Globe comparing them to Tammany members., American writers demand loyalty from the acceptors of Tammany's help. The Brooklyn Eagle states that an Irish American capitalist simultaneously supported six Nationalist members for the House of Commons, while several other capitalists supported one more apiece with what was virtually Tammany money.
