INTERPROVINCIAL FOOTBALL HATCHES.
[BY TKLECIR.VPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DuNEDIK, Monday.; ■ The Canterbury football team arrived tonight en route for Inveroargill, and *ero met and welcomed by the Otago Rugby Football Union officials. Hotop, playing against Wellington on Saturday, sprained bis ankle in the second spell, and his services were much, missed. Burt came into collision with a goalpost, and it was this, and not Wrigley, which stopped his securing a try. Both those players will bo unable to play on Saturday. Their places will be taken by J. Mitchell and J. Dunne. With these two exceptions, the same team will play against Canterbury. The Otago Union has decided to submit the names of Duncan, Burt, and Given, for inclusion in the New Zealand team. . . It was Wood, not Wallace, who kicked the final goal for Wellington on Saturday. Wood • approached Kelly and said his luck was evidently in, and asked to be allowed to kick. This was granted.. . ■ . ,•;, . .
