The Public Cyole Paths Committee of Sydney have decided to ask; the Government to take up the Cycle Boards Bill and get it made law. They have tried_ voluntary eontributions and found it a failure. The Government is, however, taking a good deal of interest in the cycle-path movement, and the Minister 01 Public Works has constructed almost entirely at the Government expense a ten-mile track from Manly, the popular Sydney seaside report, to Pittwater. The track is 2ft wide, and is laid on each side of the road. A monster meeting of cyclists is to be held early this month in connection .with the proposed legislation: It would be rather unique if the New. Zealand Bill should become law in Now South Wales before the House decides on the question here.
