Miss Druscilla Cunningham, resided in Sel- ' wyn'-street. This lady promptly gave tin information asked for, but suggested she should couple with it some events of the last few years. ".• \ ."■'Miss Cunningham, was born in Onehunga. and is eighteen years of age. "My life hai been, marked by -considerable trouble," saic she, "for when quite a child I began to suffer from weakness of the chest. Two yean ago a severe attack of bronchitis came on, and this induced consumption. I perspired greatly at night, and when I awoke in the morning I was almost too weak to rrove.. I lose my appetite, and as a result grew ./' considerably thinner. A persistent and hacking cough troubled me greatly, and sometimes;'! brought up traces of blood. I was attended by efficient doctors and treated with great care for six months, but my .: ailment was described as galloping consump- r * tion, and I was told thai my case was hopeless. Although greatly emaciated and often almost prostrated I lingered on, drying many • so-called remedies without perr anent bene-' fit." "You apparently did not g'.-e up hope,' Miss Cunningham."
